The game currently does not support a way to Rename your House (Account) name.
Good news, we're planning on adding this in a patch we'll be deploying sometime in the very near future.
Performance, Optimization and Visuals
FPS drop while playing Priest
A fix for this has been pushed in the latest Hotfix. However, it is a speculative fix that may or may not fully resolve the issue.
We are currently investigating this issue and could use your help. See this thread in Discord.
There may be a memory leak or issue while playing Priest. This may be caused by a sound that doesn't clean-up, or visual FX. We are currently investigating.
User Interface (UI)
You can get locked up while using the Emote Wheel
This is a HIGH PRIORITY bug Notorious is working on a fix for
Using the Emote Wheel can sometimes lock the player in that UI screen, unable to move or close it. This will require you to ALT+F4 to fix. Try not to use the Emote Wheel while having the Inventory window open, as this can make this occur more often.
Interaction Hotkey doesn't display the correct Hotkey if changed in Settings
The current Interaction System is some older code that we're working on overhauling in a future patch. Once deployed, it should resolve this issue. (See Related Discord Ticket)
Spectating players doesn't show the other players UI (Looting) or some other information
Spectating is currently in a lower quality state (what we call Bronze internally), and we plan to add more features and functionality to it in the future.
You must put Armor, Weapons and Rings into your Stash in order to Upgrade them at the Enchantress
We will be changing this so that you won't need to unequip them.
City, Quest and Lodge Backgrounds Zoom-in Oddly
Sometimes when the UI loads, the backgrounds for the City (Vendors), Quest and Lodge will incorrectly zoom-in oddly.
Quests can be completed without fulfilling all requirements
Sometimes players can turn in quests, showing "Ready to turn in" even if they don't have all the required materials.
World
There are various locations where players can fall through the world
This is a HIGH PRIORITY bug Notorious is working on a fix for
We are currently investigating this issue and could use your help. See this thread in Discord.
This can occur right now from the following ways:
Finding a way to exit the playable area
Gathering resources (the animation will put you into a location you shouldn't get to)
Warrior Jump Attack (in air — use with caution!)
Texture Gap in Green Ruins Allows Player to See Through the Map
Creatures will now leash if they no longer see you or you leave their sight distance.
Issues with the Mor'thog fight
There are several knows issues with the boss encounter, including him getting stuck, despawning or just other people influencing the fight from outside.
Combat and Classes
(Priest) Some item Perks don't work as intended
Constantly iterating on classes can cause some older mechanics to break sometimes. The Priest in particular has a few broken item Perks that we are aware of and are in the process of fixing and/or changing altogether.
(Priest) You can get stuck if hit while channeling Guided Star
(Hunter) After spawning, the Hunter's Sentinel Bird sometimes doesn't attack enemies
Hunter's Sentinel Bird is not attacking after being spawned.
(Priest) Sometimes you can get locked into an animation
We are currently investigating this issue and could use your help. See this thread in Discord.
Quality of Life Pain Points
Stash Size is prohibitive
During Early Access we will be monitoring the stash size space and make adjustments where necessary. In EA Hotfix #5, we increased the total number of Stash Tabs by 1 to help with storage space. Our goal is to make storage space feel meaningful, but not overly prohibitive. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to address this concern throughout Early Access development.
Drag and Drop to Equip functionality missing
In most RPGs, you can drag an item from your Inventory into your paper doll (the player character) and have it equip automatically to the correct slot. There is a current limitation in our UI flow that prevents this functionality, but we will be adding it in a patch soon.
Sell directly from player inventory ("Bags")
Currently you must put items into your Stash (stash containers, tabs) in order to sell. We're sympathetic to the desire to sell directly from your Inventory ("bags") and will be working on a change to allow this in a future patch.
Currently, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery has incomplete controller support. The game was designed for controller and an eventual console release in mind, but it is not yet completed. This will be a focus throughout development in 2025 to complete. We appreciate your patience and excitement for controller support!
Insufficient Steam Deck Support
While Legacy: Steel & Sorcery can work on the Steam Deck to some degree, it is not yet optimized and we do not yet recommend it. This will be a focus throughout development in 2025 to complete. We appreciate your patience and excitement for Steam Deck support!
No Sorcery in the Steel & Sorcery
We are developing the Wizard class right now, due out soon. Check the Roadmap to get a sneak peak of all the things we're working on.
